ABOUT
It all started when…
A talent scout greeted her in Walmart, asking if she wanted to be on TV. Soon after that encounter, she started training in on-camera acting for commercials and film. As a young girl, Tajianna was always fascinated by characters in fiction books, movies, and television. Her eyes were constantly glued to the TV. With a mother who worked as a model, actor, and filmmaker, and a father who chauffeured industry professionals, Tajianna was introduced early to the world of arts and entertainment, sparking her interest in pursuing a career within it.
In middle school, she attended Edendale Middle School and chose drama as her elective. Continuing to explore her interests at San Lorenzo High School, she again selected the drama elective, which allowed her to perform in school plays, and joined the Bay Area Digital Arts (BADA) small learning community, where she discovered her passion for film production. This was all the catalyst for her college journey, where she would leave home to nurture her passion for storytelling at Azusa Pacific University, double-majoring in Acting for the Stage and Screen (BFA) and Cinematic Arts with a Film & TV Studies concentration (BA). In her post-grad journey, she has continued to hone her craft in theatre and film.
She has worked as a Production Assistant & Coordinator for productions from PBS, Google, A24, Marvel Studios, and more. She was the Video Projections Designer for The Black Feminist Guide to the Human Body and has stage-managed several theatre productions. Her film Cracks in the Foundation earned Best Direction at WILDsound and screened at UCLAxFilmFest. An excerpt of her pilot script HERITAGE was featured in Celia Peter’s The Next 15 Minutes: Full Spectrum Futures showcase, a live staged reading highlighting Bay Area sci-fi writer-directors in collaboration with the Betti Ono Foundation. The project emerged from her selection as a writing fellow in the Justice For My Sister BIPOC Screenwriting Lab, an incubator for visionary POC writers crafting futuristic narratives. She is a current 2026 SFFILM Filmhouse Resident, developing a historical horror film.
Tajianna is passionate about avant-garde storytelling that aims to shake culture and shift paradigms in society.
